Initial Consultation

Behaviour issues can be challenging and upsetting, but getting help and guidance on how to manage them is a great first step to making life happier for both you and your dog. I use science-based, positive and 'force free' methods. There is no 'quick fix' when working with behaviour issues. I always aim to help you to understand why your dog is showing the behaviours you are facing, as well as offering lots of help and support with step-by-step modification plans.

Initial Consultation

All new enquiries will start with a 2 hour initial consultation. This will allow me to observe behaviour, take a full history and talk about dog behaviour and why it happens. I will then be able to put the start of a behaviour modification plan in place for you. 

What is included?

  • 2 hour one-to-one session at your house or an appropriate location.

  • A chance for me to observe your dog's behaviour whether in the house or out on walks. 

  • Full report with links, advice and resources. 

  • Behaviour modification plan with easy to follow steps to take to see an immediate improvement in your dog's behaviour. 

What will you gain?

  • An understanding of why your dog shows the behaviour that it does.

  • A chance to run through and practice the training with step by step help and guidance. 

  • Confidence to start the next day implementing a positive and effective training plan. 

  • Ongoing help and support from me.

I mainly operate within a 15-mile radius of Newbury, Berkshire. I am happy to travel further, though mileage may be charged.

There is no quick fix with dog behaviour and training and changes take time. My service aims to offer solutions and advice but long-term change requires hard work and dedication to the training. Performance cannot be guaranteed and is dependant on performance of the client, the dog and the circumstances. Please find my terms and conditions here.

Unlike some other trainers Anna doesn't force her opinions on you, she explains why she approaches things in her way but knows it is your dog and your choice. I would recommend Anna’s services without hesitation. She has done wonders to not only build the confidence of my rescue dog Dolly, but also mine as an owner. The sessions are not over-whelming and all information shared is digestible with realistic (and fun!) ‘homework’ set each week.
