Frequently Asked Questions
Some regularly asked questions which I hope will help you find what you're looking for. If there's anything else I can help with please do feel free to contact me for some advice on the phone or to arrange a free home visit to meet you and your pet to discuss your needs!
Where will my dog be walked?
I try to vary the walks that I go on as much as possible to add variety and interest for both your dog and me! There are a number of walks that I use in the West Berkshire area, each are safe and places that I would feel comfortable walking my own dog. If you have any preferences though, I will see if I can accommodate.
What does your insurance cover?
Walking up to 6 dogs at one time, dogs can be exercised off lead with owner's written consent, pet minding, home boarding, house sitting, collection and delivery, public liability up to £3m and loss of keys/replacement locks.
Do you have a dog?
Bentley, our British Bulldog puppy, has recently joined our family. We got him from a fantastic breeder and his temperament is lovely. He loves dogs and loves people even more and will hopefully be joining me on my walks.
What happens if there is an emergency?
Emergency proceedures are included within the contract and agreed by both parties before a service takes place. The contract states that I am to contact you in an emergency or an alternative contact if you are not contactable and to take your pet to the vet you have specified if possible for immediate treatment. For more information, please do contact me and I will be happy to talk through any concerns.
Do you offer weekends?
As a general rule I do not offer Saturdays and Sundays though exceptions can be made for regular clients on a request basis.
Will you walk my dog off lead?
I will only let your dog off the lead if I am 100% confident that it will return to me when I recall. I would rather I return your dog back to you safe and sound than take any risks. I am covered to do so on my insurance and would need written permission from you before I do so.
My dog has problems with other dogs. What should I do?
If I am unable to walk your dog with other dogs then you would need to consider a One to One walk. I would suggest a complimentary consultation to talk about your dog's specific needs and then we can look at what is best for you from there.
How will you transport my dog?
I have a fully insured van with custom-built crates for maximum comfort and safety for all of the dogs. My set up means that each dog from a different family has their own space as I never squash one dog with another that it is not familiar with.
